Postnatal / Women’s Yoga Workshops

Recharge, relax and strengthen during Maryline and Laura’s unique Postnatal / Women’s Yoga and Pilates Workshops (without baby).

Saturday 2nd March 2019 – 1.30-4.00pm – Rajar Building Town Lane, Mobberley WA16 7ER.

Find time and space to reconnect with yourself and get home to your family fully refreshed and filled with courage, patience and resilience again!

Attend to your body with exercises tailored exclusively for postnatal recovery.

Teachers: Maryline Higham, Post-natal Yoga recovery (and Baby Yoga) instructor since 2009
Laura Latham, Physio and Pilates instructor since 2008 – View ‘Laura’s website’.

Suitable for: Mums of newborns to 5-year olds. All levels including Yoga and Pilates beginners. (Not suitable if pregnant.)

Mums of older children: please register your interest as you may still be able to attend if space is available!

Birth by caesarean, you will need to have had your GP’s ‘go ahead to exercise’

Cost: £25 per person including refreshments and a healthy snack.

Prepayment only – sorry no drop-ins. In the event of cancellation up to 48hrs before the event, your credit is transferable to other events with Maryline.

Future workshop dates: Saturdays 23rd March, 27th April. There are 12 places per class, try book early!

Info about the venue: for parents of newborns and breastfed babies, partners or relatives can wait comfortably in a break-out room next to the workshop space (with access to kitchen and tea / coffee making facilities). Mum can feed at breaktime or as and when needed during the class.

Workshop timetable:

1.30-2.30 Restorative Yoga and Deep Relaxation
• 15 minutes: lying-down guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra)
• 45 minutes: easy, supported and relaxing yoga sequence including chest opening poses

2.30-3.15 Postnatal Pilates:
• Help with ‘closing the gap’ of abdominals post-pregnancy (Diastasis Recti symptoms)
• Lower back rescue workout
• Pelvic floor activation

3.15-3.30 Breaktime – opportunity to ask questions to Laura and Maryline with a cup of tea / juice and a healthy snack

3.30-4.00 Gentle revitalising and stretching practice, including:
• Sun salutations
• Energising standing postures
• Shoulder / upper arms strengthening work
