Covid-19 Policy for Outdoor Classes

For our outdoor classes, I have set a new Covid-19 policy to ensure the highest safety for all of us.
Please read all the information below about what you can expect in outdoor classes in terms of safety, following government guidelines. You will find guidelines for you as students, as well as what you can expect from me. To be read and adhered to by each participant thank you 🙏

– Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the class start time
– If you would like to feed baby before class for a longer period, consider stopping on your way to the class
– When you arrive for a class, please take your place in the circle, at 3m intervals to the person next to you. This guidance is based on the 2m rule plus additional space to allow for your movements during a class. If you arrive at the same time as someone, pause wait for mum to have set her mat up before placing yours at 3m interval. I will point out the desired spot.
– If you arrive first, please set up 3 meters away from Maryline who will point out the direction we will be filling in our circle.
– For pregnancy yoga, your teacher will be at the front and all students will be in rows and staggered behind each. I will point out where to set up your mat.
– I recommend that participants are spaced at 3m intervals as this maintains 2m spacing in the event that you take a step towards each other.
– Be aware that 2m spacing is permissible as it is within Government guidelines for social distancing.
– I will limit the class capacity to 8 parent and baby pairs. Government guidelines allow up to 30 people for outdoor exercise.
– Upon everyone’s arrival, I will be ask you to screen verbally for Covid symptoms. It is recommended to check your temperature before coming to class. I will check mine. If you are unwell or have covid symptoms, do not attend class.
– Hand sanitizer will be available to use anytime at the start, during and after the class. It is recommended that you bring your own as well.

– You will need to bring a yoga mat, a light blanket to prop baby’s head and a cushion to sit on. Your yoga mat can be replaced by a picnic blanket if you wish though it is not to shared or lend a seat to any other students.
– For pregnancy yoga, bring a thick cushion, a scarf and a mat. It you are in your last trimester, bring a foldable chair or stool.
Only in Pregnancy yoga will Maryline lend a foldable metal or plastic seat which will be sanitised before the student uses it.
– In mum and baby yoga classes, we are not to share props, material or baby accessories.
– We will practice pair work in pregnancy yoga. Pair exercise will be limited to mum and baby yoga and only to turning occasionally to face another student in the circle, staying on your mat and maintaining at least 2-meter social distance rule.
In a small group setting (max 5 pairs or mums & babies), I may ask you to walk in a circle following each other, respecting the 2 meter social distance rule.

– New students need to prebook by filling out the registration form here For mum and baby yoga outdoor, and herefor pregnancy yoga outdoor.
– No walk-ins without registration and read of the class Covid guidelines.

Alert Test, Track and Trace www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119 (if no internet access) and call Maryline on 07495 210874 if you develop COVID-19 symptoms within 7 days of class so that students can be informed as soon as possible.

I will cancel class if I have any symptoms, or have knowingly in the last 14 days had contact with anyone with symptoms or who has tested positive for covid-19, or if I have been told to self-isolate as part of the NHS text and trace service.
