Early years

Growing up in a small village of the French Jura Mountains, my childhood was totally sports driven. I competed in the national under 16 championships for cross-country skiing, triathlon and cross-country running, and already was a big fan of the stretching post-training!

Yoga came into my life in 2001 after I moved to London and took on a job in the City. The profound effects of deep breathing was a revelation and instantly hooked me. Thanks to being in a big city, I could hop from studio to studio to experience the many styles on offer, looking for my own. Immersing myself in the wide world of Yoga, I spent some time in India and studying at the Sivananda centre in Geneva. Six years later I became a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher with the Life Centre (Yogacampus).

In 2007 I studied with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, to teach the specialised discipline of Pregnancy Yoga. Since then, I have had a deep interest in sharing yoga techniques for childbirth, in my private & group classes and workshops for couples.

Becoming a teacher

Love took me and my new skills to the Northwest of England to live with Phil, my husband who also graduated from the Life Centre. We taught Hatha Yoga together in Cheshire and Manchester. Our Yin and Yang energies worked well together creating an uplifting and fulfilling experience for our students. Phil and I also organised for some time Partner Yoga workshops.

After teaching Pregnancy Yoga at the mythic Manchester Yoga Shala back in 2007 (piccadilly gardens), I was invited to set up the first prenatal classes at Manchester Buddhist Centre in 2008 and later in 2009, their Mum & Baby yoga classes. 2009, the year I gave birth to a baby girl, was also the year I discovered a new passion: teaching Post-natal recovery Yoga to mums and their babies, which still to this day, is probably the sweetest class to teach!

My Pregnancy Yoga classes in Knustford started early on also, back in 2007, the Post-natal Yoga classes in 2009. After a few years trying out venues, searching for the most peaceful and convenient yoga space available in the area, I recently settled for Mobberley Rajar building; Mums & babies, Mums & tots classes, Restorative and Prenatal classes take place there.

My move to Canada

An important step was taking off in 2013 to live in Canada with my husband & daughter. Reconnecting with a strong yoga practice and meeting lovely yogis and teachers, I returned to England in 2015 inspired and ready for new challenges.

Whilst abroad, I discovered Restorative Yoga. I’m delighted to be offering weekly classes in Hale and Manchester city centre. Training specifically in Yoga Nidra relaxation in 2015 and 2017, has reinforced my passion for that deep relaxation practice, which I enjoy sharing at the end of classes.


Here and now

My current teaching ranges from students at all stages of pregnancy, settling into motherhood, juggling busy jobs and home life, professional athletes & their families and people in need of a challenging yoga practice. I find that one-to-one and group settings are equally beneficial, fun and rewarding to teach.

In every class I am interested in helping people strengthen their mind and body from the inside out: through a combination of posture work, breath awareness and meditation.

Meeting fellow teachers and observing their personal styles is a passion even now. Teachers whose teachings resonate with me include Jane Craggs, Norman Blair, Paul Grilley, Tias Little, Rod Stryker, Doug Keller, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Nirlipta Tuli, Ben Wolfe, Roger Cole, Judith Lasater, Julie Gudmestad, and Montreal based Bram Levinson. Always eager to learn and serve students better I am currently studying with Canadian teacher Barrie Risman in alignment-based heart-centred Yoga practices.

I also provide online resources for relaxation and meditation. (See the “meditations” section.) Helping students help themselves at home was a long-term project; I believe that audio meditation and guided relaxation are wonderful tools to calm a racing mind and shift emotions. I hope you give the recordings a try or recommend them to a new mum, pregnant friend or anyone wishing to learn to take time out and have a good time in stillness!
